Intervention Surface: 425,00 sq.m.

Study: 2016

Type: Landscape

A vacation family house overlooking the messinian gulf, was lacking a connection to its surroundings. The intervention concerns a landscaping work and an implantation of swimming pool responding to the client needs.

Mediterranean Sea. Rocky Soil. Eternal Sun. Sacred Tree. Olive Leaf.

The spotting of the existing old wild olive trees in order to preserve them, was one of the key design criteria, that determined the permises of intervention, as well as the position and the shape of the swimming pool. The organic form of the swimming pool, following the natural sloped terrain, responds more like a water reservoir, with an uninterrupted view to the sea.

The choice of local materials and the reinterpretation of elements, like the reuse of wooden electric pillars as pergola beams, and the rocks turned into table bases, reffers to the mineral, rocky restless environment.
